Meet Jane

As your elected representative in the New York State Assembly, Jane Corwin is fighting for the people of Western New York. A wife and mother of three children, ensuring a viable future for our families is her top priority. Giving our children an opportunity and a reason to stay in Western New York starts with changing the culture in Albany, growing the economy and a business friendly environment, creating jobs and cutting taxes.
Jane is an active member of our community. She is the President and Founder of the Philip M. and Jane Lewis Corwin Foundation, which provides direct funding for educational, medical and religious charities to benefit children. She has also served as the President of the Josephine Goodyear Committee at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo; Confirmation Leader at Zion Lutheran Church; and as a member of the Grant Review Committee for Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. Her other past affiliations include numerous charities, the Ledgeview Elementary School PTO, and the Boy and Girl Scouts of Buffalo and Erie County.
Jane knows the future of our state lies in the hands of small business and she will vigorously fight to bolster the economy and create well-paying jobs. Her success, experience and hard-working approach as a businesswoman in the private sector will help her to bring prosperity back to Western New York.
The people of New York are overburdened. Families are finding it difficult to pay their tax bills and many businesses are being forced to cut jobs, relocate or close up shop. We need a more fiscally conservative approach that will rein in spending and end the era of taxing and spending.
Jane was recently named a member of the newly formed Spending and Government Efficiency Commission (SAGE), created to consolidate and eliminate needless state agencies. SAGE is being tasked with submitting a plan to meet the Governor’s request of a 20% reduction in agencies, authorities and commissions. Jane is playing an integral role in this process, fulfilling her pledge to reduce and eliminate wasteful and duplicative state agencies
Jane Corwin is OUR strong voice in the Assembly, and she will continue to fight to create a more transparent legislative process in order to make sure that the best interests of the people of New York are properly represented and pursued.
